Went there for NYLR weekend and had a blast.food was great and staff very friendly.
Food was not good. 5 out of 9 people in our party for prime rib and it did not taste good. They were overcooked and not tender like a prime rib should be. Theash potaoes and grean beans were cold. The beer i had was semi flat as well. However, the wait staff was friendly. I would probably not go back. Maybe we didn't pick the right thing off the menu but I would not recommend the prime rib.
Food is excellent and the service was phenomenal. We will continue to go back. They also accommodate large groups which has been hard to find in our area!
Steak was tasting a great tasting marbeled strips, even for their beef stroganoff special. Grilled chicken sandwich was generously portioned and tasty. Service was friendly, full of local knowledge. Decor was classic adx cute.
Disappointing. We have done a lot of camping, and this is probably the worst experience we have ever had. We were stuck in site 1 which was squeezed in next to the garbage and pay phone. Only room for our 26' camper, no room for our truck. The person I assumed was the owner was not pleasant nor helpful. He appeared to be more interested in drinking beer at his bar. We checked in on Saturday, given a cable box and sent on our way. The office is closed on Monday and Tuesday so it took until Wednesday to even get a password to the WiFi. When I explained we couldn't get the TV to work they gave us another box, the owner agreed to walk away from his beer to try and help, he could not, not surprised. The laundry facilities we're poor, one washer didn't spin and one dryer door kept opening. Patrons from the bar we're using both restrooms and laundry facilities. Shower facilities were dimly lit and very cold. The only saving Grace is that we did not spend much time at the campground because we were hiking and kayaking during the day. But it certainly would have been nice to have a pleasant home base. I spent over $300 for this experience. Last year we stayed in Indian lake in a private campground for less money and a better campground.
