very old rooms, no ac no tv way over priced. Go down the hill for a better buy. Room had heating you couldn't shut off. Only takes an hour to go to eagle point for hotel rooms.
While traveling through the Adirondacks with my grandparents, we stayed at the lodge and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Everyone was extremely nice. They gave us some wonderful points of attraction and their food was marvelous. Some of the best food we've had in a while. If you want a true Adirondack experience, this is the place to go!
We have always visited here in the winter and it has always been amazing. The suites are comfortably heated and ours even has a wood stove which is great for warming up after hiking or snowshoeing. I would reccomend the sleigh ride and the dinner here. The dinner here is a little expensive but you probably wont find a better home cooked meal than this one. Also, my wife is vegetarian and they had options for her, which was nice.
Good if you want to escape from everything, but there's no AC and it is only a 2 man operation. Embraces the cabin in the woods spirit.
Lake Clear Lodge is owned and operated by the most hospitable and professional hosts than anywhere else we have been in the Adirondacks. The culinary experience supersedes what you will find at most high end established restaurants. This was our second stay and we will definitely be going back.
